The Vesper Noctem 21-inch Ride cymbal delivers a truly distinctive sound, born from a meticulously handcrafted process. Each cymbal in the Noctem Series undergoes a unique manufacturing journey that defines its sonic character and versatility on the drum set.

Unique Crafting & Dual Tones

Crafted by skilled artisans, every Vesper Noctem cymbal begins with oven firing and precise hand hammering. This intense shaping is followed by an immersion in a saltwater bath, a step that contributes to the metal's inherent properties. After this soak, the cymbal returns to the oven for a second firing. The final touch involves a Diem Series-style lathe applied to the outer edges, creating a striking contrast with the raw, un-lathed bell and center.

This innovative process results in two distinct and incredibly versatile sound worlds within one cymbal. When played on or around the raw, un-lathed bell and central areas, you'll find an articulate, clear response with defined stick attack. Moving to the lathed outer edges, the cymbal opens up to a beautiful wash and a rich tapestry of complex overtones, providing depth and atmosphere to your playing.
